INVESTING IN OF SCAPULAR( GARMENT OF OUR LADY QUEEN OF CARMEL) TO THE CHILDREN OF JOY RESCUE FAMILY

Today marked a truly significant occasion as the Joy Rescue Centre came together in joyous celebration. Our hearts were uplifted as we gathered for a momentous event that touched the lives of each member of our Joy Rescue family, as well as some of our close friends.

At the heart of this gathering lay a profoundly solemn Holy Mass, coupled with the joyous observance of Mum Joy and Dad Daniel’s 14th Wedding Anniversary which was presided over by Reverend Fr. Daniel Kyalo, the distinguished Chairman of the Carmelite Family in Kenya. His presence served as a Spiritual Cornerstone, binding
us in a shared devotion and profound gratitude.

Moreover, a deeply reverent ceremony took place during the event—the investing in of
the garment of Our Lady Queen Beauty of Carmel and blessing of the institution. This
symbolic act held immense significance, signifying our unwavering devotion and connection to the Blessed Virgin Mary, who envelops us in her maternal protection and
intercession. It is worth noting that the Joy Rescue Centre’s strong devotion is vividly
illustrated by the presence of a Shrine of Our Lady Queen Beauty of Carmel within the
institution, a Shrine that stands as a testament to our profound faith (though not yet
officially complete/open). Joy Rescue family and our cherished friends gathered as one, embracing the spirit of togetherness.

The profound blessings of the day were amplified and graced by the presence of our
honored guests, including the Joy Rescue Centre fraternity, Mr. David Kabugua, who
serves as both father to Joy and Daniel, and as a beloved grandfather to many.
Additionally, we were honored by the esteemed presence of Reverend Fr. Daniel Kyalo
Nthama, the Chairman of Carmelite Family in Kenya, as well as Dr. Peter Munene
Gichobi, PHD, Deputy Regional Director of Education for the Central Region, graced us
with their wisdom and spiritual guidance and officially became part of the larger Joy
Rescue Centre family/friends.

In this unique moment in time, we celebrated not only the spiritual dimensions of our
shared journey but also the bond that unites us in our mission to provide solace, love,
and care to the children of diverse backgrounds who find refuge at the Joy Rescue
Centre. As we move forward, we carry the blessings and inspiration of this day in our
hearts, fortified in our commitment to fostering an environment of love, compassion, and unwavering faith for the children we hold dear.
