ABOUT US

Joy Rescue Centre is a Charitable Children’s Institution (CCI) registered by the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social service now the ministry of labour and social protection. It was established  in the year 2006 by the founder and vision bearer Joyce Kabugua. Joy Rescue Centre was started with the mission to save lives as a result of the increasing number of vulnerable and needy children orphaned by HIV/AIDS,

WHAT WE DO

Promote environmental conservation practices

Joy Rescue Centre integrates environmental conservation initiatives into child welfare programs. This strategy aims to facilitate environmental transformation and create safety nets for vulnerable children, promoting child survival. 

Provision of life skills, spiritual nourishment and promotion of talents

Life skills education are of utmost importance in a child’s growth hence Joy Rescue Centre ensures children get communication skills, good grooming, good etiquette, mannerisms and self confidence

Advocacy and support programs for the children

As an institution which operates under the children protection policy, consultation and participation of children are encouraged at all described levels within the set up, JRC has a children’s committee elected by the children themselves.
